The public is invited to bring their own telescopes and binoculars to our events. Please be mindful of bright unfiltered flashlights, phones or tablets during the starwatch. Red cellophane can be placed over the ends of flashlights with rubberbands to help us all maintain our night vision. Note: Even bright red LED lights can reduce night vision, dim red lights are the most acceptable. Apply bug spray downwind and away from the telescopes. Please walk slowly and carefully between the telescopes. We love to hear your questions about the night sky and astronomy!

May 3 meeting: Telescopes, our favorite tools!

The special presentation will deal with aspects of the telescope for observing; types, advantages/disadvantages, selection and maintenance. We will also have a silent auction for a variety of telescopes that have been donated to BMAA (large, small and in-between). Our meetings, starting at 7:30 pm, are open to the public
